Submission Process
We welcome submissions from researchers worldwide. Our streamlined review process aims to provide constructive feedback within 4-6 weeks of submission.
- Prepare your manuscript following our formatting guidelines below.
- Deposit sequence data in GenBank, UNITE, or other appropriate repositories.
- Submit via email to submit@dikarya.us.
- Track your submission through our editorial system.
Author Guidelines
Manuscript Format
- Submit manuscripts as a single Word document (.docx) or Google Docs link
- Use 12-point Times New Roman or similar serif font
- Double-space all text, including references
- Number all pages and lines continuously
- Include captions on all figures and tables
Structure
Research articles should include:
- Title page: Title, author names, affiliations, corresponding author email
- Abstract: Maximum 300 words summarizing key findings
- Keywords: 5-8 terms for indexing
- Introduction: Background and objectives
- Materials and Methods: Reproducible description of procedures
- Results: Presentation of findings with figures/tables
- Discussion: Interpretation and broader implications
- References: Follow journal citation style
Special Requirements for Taxonomic Works
- New species descriptions must follow the International Code of Nomenclature
- Type specimens must be deposited in recognized herbaria
- Molecular data must be deposited in GenBank with accession numbers provided
- MycoBank or Index Fungorum numbers should be obtained prior to publication
Data Availability
Dikarya requires that all sequence data be made publicly available. Alignments and phylogenetic trees should be deposited in TreeBASE or similar repositories.
Peer Review
All submissions undergo single-blind peer review by at least two experts in the field. We are committed to constructive, timely reviews that help authors improve their work.
