    spores Spores of this species measure (8.8-) 9.6 - 11.5 (-13.5) × (8.2-) 8.5 - 11.0 (-12.8) μm, and are globose to subglobose and inamyloid.  Basidia lack clamp connections.
    discussion This species was first found in Virginia; and the three known collections are from the southeastern U.S.  We don't know how common the mushroom is in that region.—R. E. Tulloss
