cap The cap is medium brown and has a striate margin.
stem The stem is "white," and the volva at the stem's base is sack-like, white on the outer surface, and sheathing.
spores The spores measure (10.0-) 10.5 - 14.0 × 9.0 - 12.6 µm and are subglobose to broadly ellipsoid (infrequently globose) and inamyloid.  Clamps are not to be found at the bases of basidia.
discussion Known only from the Louisiana coastal plain.—R. E. Tulloss
