gills	The gills becoming sordid with age.
stem	The stem is thoroughly gray (dark cinereous). The universal veil at the stipe base reportedly breaks up easily.
spores	The spores measure (9.2-) 9.4 - 16.1 (-16.8) × (8.6-) 8.9 - 14.7 (-14.9) µm and are subglobose (infrequently broadly ellipsoid) and inamyloid. Clamps are not to be found at the bases of basidia.

discussion

Evaluation of spore volumes indicates that 2-spored, or even 1-spored basidia were present in the material examined to date; hence, the average length, width and Q values cited above are probably high for an average mature specimen of this species. Removing the four largest spores from the data would yield [16/1/1] (9.2-) 9.4 - 12.6 × (8.6-) 8.9 - 11.2 (-11.9) µm, (L = 11.3 µm; W = 10.3 µm; Q = 1.06 - 1.13 (-1.16); Q = 1.09). The averages provided in this latter set of data would probably be close to those that would obtained in future, mature material of this entity, were such material to be collected.
