cap The cap of the single known specimen was recorded as 98 mm wide, rich brown, especially dark over disc, progressively somewhat paler toward margin, campanulate at first, and having a marked umbo.  The cap's flesh is 7 mm thick above the stem, off white except gray in the umbo, and brownish gray in areas of insect damage.  The cap's margin is striate.
gills The gills are free, brownish white in mass, white in side view, 6.5 mm broad, marginate (with pale brown margin).  The short gills are truncate or truncate with a tooth at the point at which the truncate edge meets the cap's flesh, unevenly distributed, of diverse lengths, and plentiful.
stem The stem is 172 × 11 mm, pale brownish gray, with the surface breaking up into gray fibrils here and there on a pallid ground, and very finely striate lengthwise. The stem lacks annuluas. The volva at the stem's base is sack-like, about 41 mm tall, membranous, and white on both inside and outside surfaces.
