The spores of the present species measure (8.0-) 8.2 - 10.6 (-14.0) × (6.5-) 7.1 - 9.5 (-10.8) μm and are broadly ellipsoid to ellipsoid and inamyloid. Clamps are probably absent from bases of basidia.

pileus
at least 65± mm wide, grayish brown in field photograph, uniformly dark slate gray as seen in lab, virgate, slightly concave; context predominantly white; margin striate (0.35±R), with rather widely spaced striations, nonappendiculate; universal veil as white "smears" of variable thickness (possibly indicating volval attachment to pileipellis persisting during expansion resulting in tearing away lower portion of volval material in irregular manner).

close, sordid; lamellulae ??, of diverse lengths, ??.
stipe
110± × 9± mm, gracile, white, decorated with concolorous pulverulence from apex to top of volval limb; context white; exannulate; universal veil as saccate volva, membranous, proportionately short (26± × 19± mm), with rather dry white outer surface suggesting an eggshell, with limb dividing into two main rounded lobes.
