Solitary. At ca. 3000 m elev. In forest with plentiful Pinus on the La Malinche volcano.

discussion

This species has the odor and habitat of A. subsolitaria, but its spores are not cylindric.

There is not material representing this taxon in RET's herbarium. It should be sought in TLXM.
