Corner and Bas (1962): 60 - 80 mm wide, sepia, fuscous-umber in center, with innate dark fibrillose streaks near margin, becoming concave, subumbonate, dry or slightly viscid; context firm, solid, white, turning slightly ochraceous on cutting, ca. 8 mm thick over stipe; margin smooth or faintly striate; universal veil as firm warts, separable, stout, conic, paler than pileus surface (grayish sepia), 1 - 2 × 2 - 4 mm near center, smaller near margin. |
