80 - 220 mm wide, white, becoming buff, convex, becoming planar at maturity, smooth, like glove leather(?), sometimes (CMP1619) cracking deeply in disc and becoming coarsely areolate (in polygonal blocks); context white, rather thick, ??; margin nonstriate, appendiculate; universal veil as thin patches (CMP1619) or in pyramidal warts, 1 - 2 mm high over disc, friable, white at first, then with tips darkening, detersile, becoming smaller warts and then flocculence toward margin. |
