    discussion This species has a range extending at least from New York and Connecticut to Florida and Georgia in the eastern U.S. and extending westward at least to Iowa.  It is not known west of the Prairie states.  Within this range, the species is common in forests and on lawns with established trees.  It appears to be associated with at least Oak (Quercus) and Hickory (Carya).—R.
