from protolog: [n=30] 12.5 - 15 (-16) × (8.5-) 9 - 11 (-11.5) μm., (L' = 13.9 μm; W' = 10.0 μm; Q' = 1.39), hyaline, inamyloid, not dextrinoid, broadly ellipsoid to ellipsoid, mainly axially symmetric, with few very slightly asymmetric; apiculus apparently slightly sublateral to apical and truncate conic (per figure); contents guttulate ("oil drop" type). [Note: Without a range of Q values a sporograph cannot be generated. These spore length measurements (and consequently the Q values) are also incomparable with those of other species treated on this site because the length of the apiculus is included in the length measurements. It appears that not all spore data from paratypes were merged to create the summary prevented above. For example, spores from the atypical collections CSIRO H7627, MEL 2063336, and Syme 1085/00 are dealt with separately in the notes section of the protolog.—ed.] |

Unfortunately, the specimen from which extant nrITS and nrLSU sequences were derived was the most atypical of the paratypes according to the protolog. Material not singled out as atypical should be sequenced to gain confidence that this taxon is accurately represented by sequence data associated with its name. |
