etymology
Named in honor of David P. Lewis who has worked for
decades on the fungi of Texas. David and RET have
collaborated on
and off for many years. He is an honored
friend. He has donated a large
portion of his Amanita duplicates to the
Roosevelt herbarium (RET) with directions that they
should be passed on to the the New York Botanical Garden
cryptogamic herbarium, when RET ceases to work.
